I would like to start by saying just how blessed I am to have this calling put on my heart by the Lord. When I first started praying about my desire to serve Christ, I kept an open mind so that, no matter what He led me to pursue, I would be open to it. I’ve been helping teach a Sunday School class and have taught in several other places as well so I had such a fear that the calling would be to preach. I only say that because I consider myself a very poor public speaker due to being so nervous to speak in front of others. It’s definitely improved over time, but it’s still far from ideal. That said, I was open to whatever the calling would be.

Well, I started helping out my current church (Parkview Baptist in Waco) with all sorts of IT requests free of charge and that seemed to be a blessing for them; however, I soon found that it was an even bigger blessing for me. I kept praying about how I could be used by the Lord and God started slowly uncovering things to me. I was told stories about how churches often have a difficult time finding reliable and affordable tech support. I even heard abuse stories where technicians held data hostage for payments.

Upon getting more involved with my home church, I started seeing up close the strong desire for every tithed dollar to be used to give to missions, strengthen outreach and do God’s perfect will. I saw how technical services helped to support those goals in many ways and yet how they also hindered them when support was needed. As a result, I saw a gap that needed to be filled and that’s when the Lord gave me the epiphany to pursue helping in that way.

You see, the Lord has greatly taken care of me in my life. Despite many poor decisions across many years (of which you can read about in my linked testimony), the Lord has poured out tremendous mercy, love and grace over me. As a result, all I want to do is spend the rest of my life serving Him, and one way I can do that is by ensuring that His trusted churches that are doing His good work are able to operate smoothly, broadcast seamlessly, compute effortlessly, etc.

So again, I praise the Lord for calling me to help in this manner. I don’t have an overwhelmingly large amount of free time given a full time career and a large family, but what I do have is at God’s disposal. Hopefully this technical ministry makes a little more sense now but, as always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out via E-Mail.
